On Road vehicles: $63,396,000

If we assume an average price of $18,000 that would be 3522 motorcycles sold in 3rd quarter. Does that seem right? if so around 14,000 motorcycles for the year. Not nearly the sales of HD but a respectable number and it keeps going up. I can see Victory selling 20,000 bikes a year by 2015-2016.

Why does the 14,000 a year seem wrong to me?? anyone else? Seems high for bike sales but i could be wrong.

Doesn't Polaris include the GEM electric vehicles and some other stuff in their On Road Sales figures?

It would be nice if Polaris wasn't so secretive about their sales figures. I'm not sure what it would hurt if they published that.

Is this US sales or company sales, remember how many countries they are represented in now for Victory

Yes it would be nice if they would just tell number of motorcycles. Maybe I'm off and they don't sell 10,000 a year. You would think they would be extremely proud of any number north of 10,000. Maybe at the factory they would tell how many engines or bikes are made per day during the tour.

I was at the HD factory this summer, they were proud to say they make 500 engines per day and only work weekdays, no weekend work because of doubletime, ( it's a union job you know ).

Well now you're assuming that the sales through the first and last quarter of a year has the same amount of sales which it won't. Hardly any sales happen during the winter months for road bikes.
