| Gary 1,
One long sentence you have there! But, be careful about going up too high in wattage. Two things can happen, a blown fuse to save the wiring, but more importantly you could burn and warp your bulb reflector. Going up 20 watts means a lot more heat. Watch your bulb socket/reflector carefully, or pause your project until you can get the correct 35W replacement. Good luck!

Many manufacturers make a HID bulb that fits that socket and it it a HUGE improvement over the stock halogen. I have the PIAA HID bulb in and love it! http://piaa.shptron.com/products/productdetail/part_number=PIA71190...
Amazon price $108 |

Posts: 1066 Peru, IN | Are there any tricks to installing it? I had one from VictoryHID and just couldn't get it to fit in the hole. The flat area at the bottom seemed to be the problem. |

Posts: 1066 Peru, IN | I had the one from VictoryHID. It just wouldn't fit (or I was messed up somewhere). It had a shield, too. And it was only $50. Not sure about over $100. Thanks. |
