| First is about back seating area. Seems the XCT is bigger (longer) by about 3 inches from the backrest slot which matches the old Goldwing. Any complaints from SO about the space if you have a backrest installed???
Second,,,,,anyone replace the Vision's orange eyebrows with clear and use orange bulbs? Any aftermarket suppliers for this. This would work great for my LED's.
Thanks. | |

2. Many have put the clear European lenses on both front and back. Many threads, just search CLEAR LENS. Some use the amber bulbs that are clear when off, others just go white (DOT allows the front to be white or amber) and some go with LEDs that change from white to amber.

| Will the prior models and the 2013 Vision seats interchange? Can someone measure the distance between the backrests on a Vision and someone else do an XCT? Thanks. Not finding ones with the backrest at the dealers | |

Posts: 499 Chattanooga, TN | My vision seat measures 32.5" from the center front to the back. But I think 08 and 09 had a different way of mounting from the new ones. Yu may want to confirm that.

"Orange"? The eye doctor is only a phone call away.
All Vision seats will fit all Visions however, the '08/'09s don't have a slot cut for a backrest like the '10+ do. Not all are heated. I don't know if earlier heated seats plug in to a later bike or vice versa. (I would assume they do but don't sue me if I'm wrong.)

That is not a correct statement. Seats from an ABS bike will fit non ABS, but you can not use a non ABS seat on an ABS bike

Looking for the distance (seating area) from passenger backrest to rider backrest. As I mentioned there is only about 9 inches from backrest to slot on Vision,,,,,,this is not a very large seating area. Wanted to see what it was if I was to have a backrest installed for me and what it does for her seating area.?
When the Wing had 15 inches, 6 inches is a pretty big area.

Check your state for front turn signal requirements.. seen a lot of differnt posts but VA requires amber. I went with the switchbacks and will be doing the install as soon as the lens come in.

Thanks Tim. It's on my Christmas list!
Just ordered mine, doing the switchbacks, wiring the 2nd light for TS as well as adding some front low LED running to clean up my front end. Never seen the clown face until I read a thread and now I can't shake it... lol...
On the back I am adding the trunk 99 (I think mine have 98 but..) as well as wiring in trunk TS LED's with the running lights. Also adding a side strip on each bag. Plan to switch to LED's for the tail light, hadnt thought about clear until you mentioned it.. hmmmmmm lol

Posts: 499 Chattanooga, TN | My wife complains that I'm hard t shop for, and it is true. If I just give her a part number, we're both better off, lol! I'm planning on the switchbacks as well, I love the clear look until you need to use the signal. For the trunk, I think you can get the european version as well. I looked up the p/n but I'm not 100% about it. RH appears to be 2411333 and LH is 2411332. Haven't seen anyone post photos of those yet.

And let me tell ya, unless they had a 2nd airfilter on there and had opened up the exhaust a bit, you aint felt nothin yet!!!! All while maintaining a fairly quiet ride!!! With the ride and performance, I am certain there is at least 1 ticket in the near future.. lol...

Yes, yes, yes,,,,,,I know but I am on a search for what you are riding or 2012. Now to figure out how to increase bottom end without too much noise (volume) and a whole lot of coinage.......

(Probably under $1500 but that's just an educated guess.) LOTS of exhaust options from loud to basically stock. Witchdoctor has a couple for under $300. (Baffled and non-baffled. Both use your stock heat shields for more of that sleeper effect.)

If that's ALL you want to accomplish, put an underdrive pulley on it. You'll gain about 6% or 7 % increase in felt torque for around $300.
If you want a 25% to 30% increase in power, get Lloydz VM1 cams, a top filter, and a fuel controller for about $1300. If you want to extend that new power out and add a bit to the bottom end too, get Lloydz reprogrammed ECU to go with it. Stock exhaust works fine and does not restrict the power. So does the stock front filter, since the top filter adds more than enough air.
