Posts: 152 Bonita Springs, FL | My right saddlebag won't open, the push button when depressed seems to easy to push and not engaging anything. I tried locking it, and it does lock, but when unlocked and depressed bag will not open.
Any suggestion before going to the dealer would be appreciated.

| Find the bumpiest road you know and shake the bike good. There is a cable and levers in the latch and the mechanism probably needs to be cleaned and lubed. The right side gets more weather due to the way the bike sits on the kick stand. Mine would not latch completely or at all. WD-40 is good for cleaning but get some good lock lube for the mechanism. |

Posts: 152 Bonita Springs, FL | I was hoping someone else would chime in that knows how to open the saddlebag when it will not open. Again, when depressing the button it is very easy to push and seems to be hitting nothing and will not release the latch. Would really like to know if anyone knows how to open it.
I have tried for several days playing with the button, locking unlocking, took it for several rides, etc., no luck.
Thanks. |

Take off your seat, two 6mm allen bolts and unplug your seat heater.Use a long thin screwdriver or whatever rod.Insert your tool about 2/3 of the way in from the front of the grab handle and slide your tool towards the back. This should disengage your lock mechanism. You can open up the other side and see what you need to accomplish.

Your welcome... Like Chesshiretuna said "...cable and levers in the latch and the mechanism probably need to be cleaned and lubed". Might be a good idea for all of us to lube/relube the lock assembly.
