Posts: 36 Tonopah,NV | Has any one tried having their own parts chromed? If so how was the price and quality? I would like to chrome some of my silver parts. Victory chromed parts seem so expensive. 300.00 to 400.00 each. One company I found was Chrome Pros Plating. Thanks for any fedback. |

Posts: 59 Woodstock, GA | I think it depends on the part. For these stainless/silver parts, they are not essential (i.e. good seal needed), so if you can do it for a savings, go for it. I had parts on my Vulcan done several years back with mixed results. Recently though, I wanted an outer primary chromed, and the price was $150. The new chrome part was $260. I opted for the new part because of it's use.
Hope that helps, but as with anything, it depends on who does it. |

I didn't get an exact price quote because I didn't have the parts with me but the local chrome shop told me upwards to 40% price difference if it needs to have all the existing finish removed before they can buff and start chroming. I was also told that it would save a few bucks if I collected all the peices and sent them together. I haven't compared the prices to Victory chrome peice by peice, I do see that they are pricey. For me, I'd like to get rid of the last peice or 2 of grey powdercoat (like the grabhandles in the rear, since my valence is now chrome). |

| I recently had some work done by these guys in Nashville, Tn. Super job and reasonable. They have been around for many years but just had to completely rebuild their facilities about 2 years ago after the major floods in Nashville. They also have the capability to do cooper work and even chrome plate some plastic pieces. True professionals all the way.
