Hi all,
Need suggestion on exhaust choice for those who have had already some work done by Lloyd, KevinX, and his certified crew.

My scheduled appointment for the following surgery on my bike 4/5/2013 is:
VM1 Cams "Not the New ones he just posted"
Adjustable timing system
Adjustable Intake system
1/4 throttle
Dyno

Exhaust??? Still to be dertemined???

I already have installed ECU remapped to 6400 Rpms, VFC 3, idle control valve, S1L1 exhaust w/Gatlin tips and "Older style" intake filter which he says should still be good if not will change for the newer version?

So I talked to Danny thru email on the "Arlen Ness Big Honkers" He said those are pretty loud? from what I've seen on youtube they sound awesome and most reviews says is just a tad bit louder than S2L2 but with a much throaty sound which I seem to like!!!
I know they "Alen Ness came out with new exhaust the "Thunder" ones but those seemed to sound much louder.
For those who have most items above and have the Big honkers, what's your take on it and any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Please keep in mind if all possible that I would LOVE to keep my existing "Gatlin Tips" and that being said I could with the Big Honkers? I've seen a youtube on a CC and Big Honkers and Gatlin tips by "jrrobin66" and I think they sound awesome?

Are the Big honkers?
Annoying?
To loud that over takes radio?
Leaks or not good fit?
Bothersome to ears both me and passenger?
Effect helmet communication "J&M" helmet audio?

I think that's about my concerns? LOL Hope You all could chime in before my departure for tomorrow morning? Of course I will also have to take suggestions from the Master himself "Lloyd" But just want to know for those who already have them and what they feel about them? Thanks in advance!!!!

I have the Honkers on my '11, and a buddy has them on his '09. They sound really good, but IMO, none of the exhaust systems on a Vision are going to be too bothersome for the rider, given how low and far back they discharge.

I will also add that from all the dyno charts I've seen, the Honkers seem to be the best overall performers! I have seen maybe one or two that had a slightly higher 'peak' hp or tq number, but none with a greater 'area' under the TQ curve....

Had them on my 2008. Sounded great. Loud when you got on it hard, but hardly noticable in the highway. I have L1S2 now with Atom bomb mod I bought from a member. I love them, but not as loud as the Honkers. I wish I could have the look of the L1S2 and the sound of Ness Honkers.
My 08 also had VFC3 and intake plate and went like a bat outta hell.

Ask to listen to Lloyd's personal Vision. He could've had any exhaust he wanted and he chose D&Ds because of the sound & performance.

thanks Turk! it's what i thought as well!!! I've spent hrs reading and hearing youtubes and felt the honkers would be a better fit, Mine is also a 09 Vision. question? do you have any tips on them? If so, did it impact the performance?, Thanks!

Thanks Jeff will ask Lloyd to hear it! But I was leaning to Honkers for $$$ cost as well, given they are better than what I have on now? D&D sound awesome too, but allot more expensive.
