Lots of petal pluckers working that field. I'll bet the weekends are bumper to bumper cages right now |

Posts: 785 Mt. Vernon, WASH. | Actually the weather has been pretty crappy on the weekends (and all Fall/Winter) which keeps the rubberneckers at bay, I live in town so I stay off the streets on weekends in April.
One o' them 'HMMMM' factoids, if you buy tulip bulbs 'imported' from Holland, there's a better than even chance they grew right here and were exported to Holland (merchandising).
Most of the bulbs are grown in huge hothouses that dot the outlying fields where they can bump up the temperature a couple of degrees to have tulips available for Mothers Day or whatever special occasion.
The field workers are 'deadheading' so the bulbs will go dormant for plow up and packaging, your shot of Baker is about what I see of it from my back porch on clear days.
Small boats and canoes sometimes get caught in the 'throat' of Deception Pass at tide change and get 'stuck' or 'backup' unable to make headway or rocket out if going with the tide.
The WSP trooper on Whidbey is a raving ass -ole so be keerful

Now you can go home and tell your wife about the biker you nailed today - his first ticket in 50 YEARS !!!". And I smiled at him as I drove away ... |

Central Wisconsin | Very good video Don. I like how you truly captured the Tulip festival. I like the female vocal of "The Piano Man" by Billy Joel. This has got to be one of your best videos. Thanks for sharing.

No, my wife went to Tokyo just after the Tsunami earthquake to see her mom. She brought back a double CD of a Japanese group who did all kinds of popular songs. I use them in my YouTube videos because the Music Police don't know who that group is! And they sound 'different' but still pretty good! Music Police - they want to make money off your videos ! |

Posts: 499 Chattanooga, TN | Thanks for posting, Don! I had my wife watch it because she just doesn't ride with me enough and riding has been my passion since I got my Vision. I was hoping she could see that she could still enjoy life with me yet! She did want to know: Who sang, was it someone you know? |
