| I know that there is another thread about these, but my question is this. I just got my deflectors and there is nothing in the kit for attaching them. Just some clear peel away plastic film. What do I use? |

, FL United States | Go to your local auto parts store (NAPA,Autozone,etc) and get: 3M Very Heavy Bond 2-sided tape and 3M Adhesion Enhancer (it's a clear liquid you wipe on to the surface before you apply the 2-sided tape). Put mine on this way and they have been on for over 4 years. |

Peru, IN | There should be 2 pieces of that film, one for each side. Once you unroll them, you can see which side they go on. Place them on the bike and tape them down. It's helpful to have a second person, one to hold the template and another to tape it down. There should be 4 holes in each. Take a grease pencil and mark all 4 of those holes. Remove the templates. The mounts center between the holes, long side to the front. Make sure you use an alcohol pad to wipe down the surface first. Stick the mounts on which attached to the lowers. Once they're on, leave them alone for a day (18-24 hours). Don't ride, don't adjust them, don't do anything. This gives them time to set. Once they're set, there are 2 (6mm) set screws on each bracket. The one with the button cap is to tighten down the lower to the bracket. Tighten this down all the way. The other is to set the tension of the mount. The tighter you get it, the more difficult it is to adjust the lower but the less the wind will move them. The way it's set from the factory is just about right although, if you loosen the set screws slightly, you can adjust the lowers with your foot as you're moving but risk cracking them in the process. |

Peru, IN | Foam tape. If there's no double sided sticky tape, take it back. The 4 pieces of tape will be separate. |
