Posts: 4 Burlington, North Carollina USA | Hello everyone! I'm new here. Is it possible to exchange the stock mufflers on a '2011 Vision for a prior year model Vision. I read somewhere a while back that Victory increased the dB level by 2 decibils on the '2011 models in response to Victory owners wanting a more 'robust' exhaust level.
I'm wanting a quiter exhaust level/noise than I currently have on my newly purchased '2011 Vision. FYI, I'm an IronButt type rider who enjoys mucho miles in a given day and high levels of exhaust noise at highway speeds (55-70mph) is very tiring for me. If anyone has any insight on this possible exchange please beam me up and thanks in advance. |

Fountain Inn, SC United States | In talking with Victory engineers, they said (and I'm paraphrasing) that because they were able to reduce noise in the transmission, they were able to open up the exhaust a bit and still comply with EPA sound requirements. |

Posts: 1365 Central Maryland | I have a 2011 and I can tell you for a fact that they are not robust nor loud. Sewing machine quiet really. I even drilled the six 1/2" hole modification in the rear of each one; to get more growl. They actually sounded pretty good. However; I ended up with the S1L2's for the complete chrome and unique sound.
So I have a set of 2011 OEM mufflers with chromed heat shields (in perfect condition) with the six hole mod (if you don't like it; screw in 6 hex bolts to seal them) as well as I sanded off all of the slight surface rust and re-painted them with Hi Temp BBQ flat black paint. Probably have about 12K on them.
Make me an offer. :-) Shipping of course; will have to be calculated and added on; depending on your offer.
