Almost ready for my 5th tire change-out. Where the hell do I find the Potenza (or similar) in a 175 or (170-185)/60-16 (stock is 180/60-16)? I've looked all over the internet, and can't find a carrier for the size I need with a Hitch-doc trailer hitch. I know that much more than 185 wide, and it'll hit the hitch frame, esp. with a passenger. Where are all of you Dark-siders getting them?

Web sites???

Fuel max has a very soft side wall (I have no experience with this, but several dark side websites and GL1800darkside threads have all been in agreement of the soft sidewall of this tire that flexes on hard turns and hard acceleration). I've read nothing but good things about the Dunlop ice though. I run a Michelin alpin, it's been great, but don't think it comes in less than 195. Good luck

my good year fuel max has given me (so far) 11,000 miles of riding smooth riding. I even rode the Dragon (deals gap) two up while scraping the floorboards. No issues at all. I had a gold wing ANTI-DARKSIDER behind me, and when we stopped him mouth was wide open.. Shocked how it handled and how much tread was on the road at all times. =)

What air pressure are you running? I am at 40 and it feels squishy to me and 2 different passengers. Not impressed so far.

Try a PM to rollin. He runs a set of run flat snow tires and obviously knows where he gets them.

Running a HitchDoc with Dunlop ice Runflat 175/60-16

The Dunlop Graspic ice is not a run flat

Rollin, like many, is running a 195. This will not work w/ a hitchdoc setup.

The OP is asking for 175 sizes. Very few options left. The beloved Wintersport Run flat 175 is gone.
As far as I can tell, there are no run flat tires being produced in our 175 size.

The Goodyear Fuel Max and Dunlop Graspic Ice about cover it.

How about a Taxi tire!??!!
