Posts: 166 Bullhead City, AZ | The last 2 longer trips when I ran out of battery on the IPOD and couldn't get a radio station I road to just the sweet sound of the 106. I noticed that I had a rattle/squeak on any rough pavement. Tonight I found the problem. Just got done changing the oil on my Vision and while waiting for the oil to finish draining I decided to look for the cause of this noise. Found it , it may not be life threatening like the fender but the black plastic cowling that attaches to the front tip overs and the brushed aluminium it the front was loose. The bolt holes on the tipovers and the center hole that is right by the battery were all broken, making the nicest little plastic washers. I do not think I can fix the plastic this time and will need to replace it. for now I removed the bolts and used big fender washers to hold it in place. The left side when checked was fine but the plastic around the other 3 holes just crumbled when touched. Might be some thing else to check on.

Posts: 241 Monrovia, Ca | I replaced my cowling last year when I repainted my bike. A few of the holes were cracked. I just assume things do break and or wear out. |
