Ordered it all today.
Half of it is on backorder .... ship date is October.

No I am not complaining, just being sarcastic, and saying it's no biggy cause I am in front of the backorder line!

Waiting for chrome on a Vision beats any HD.

Indiana RoadRunner,

Have the chrome inspected before installation. My dealer has received three right inner fairing chrome damaged from Victory. Also the right side cover was damaged but it replacement was OK. This has been keeping my Vision in the shop all week.

FYI, If you are installing it yourself I would not leave the dealership without a close inspection of each and every piece.

Thanks radioteacher,

I have everything I could find before the new 2009 catalog came out (my dealer got theirs yesterday).
So for, besides waiting for months for some parts, it all showed up ok. However, I am keeping a close eye out for peeling that some have been having.

Check with some other dealers while you are on your journeys. I got all my chrome right off the shelf from 2 dealers in Canada.

I have a hard time finding a dealer that even has a Victory T-shirt let alone chrome.

My dealer use to carry a lot of coats, shirts, shoes, and such. This past spring they had sale on their 2007 left-overs (I bought a bunch) but haven't restocked with any 08 stuff. Guess no sale on 08 stuff next spring.

They sell bikes and lots of them. But parts and such are ordered, it's not really a big deal since you can get parts overnight anymore.
Chrome does take longer though.

I would love to see a Victory dealer that was stocked like the Harley dealers I've stopped at. Of course, at the kind of prices Harley ask for they can afford to carry a large overhead of goodies.

If I could find a Victory dealer that carried all the nut and bolt covers and other little stuff I'd ride there tomorrow and buy it all.

Take a ride up to Randy's Cycles in Huntley, IL. He is just a few miles north of I90 on Route 47. His is a smaller physically sized dealership, but he stocks a large selection of Victory clothing as well as Victory and Arlen Ness accessories for the entire Victory line.

Try looking at Terre Haute. They have alot of stuff. I know a year ago, if you walked into their dealership, you felt like you walked into a Victory catalog. I was there earlier this year, and they had backed of a little on having all accessories in stock. Part of the problem lies with Victory owners. I see many Vic riders show up at the dealer wearing aftermarket jackets, and talking about buying accessories off ebay. Then they wonder why the dealer doesn't have much in stock. I've asked a couple dealers why they don't carry parts and accessories, and the reply is Vic riders won't buy it. Even with 10-20% off, Vic riders will buy off the internet, to save an extra dollar, meanwhile the dealer is stuck with inventory.

The dealer in Centerville Utah, (just north of Salt lake City) is a great group of guys and gals and stocks a bunch of stuff. I had them put a lot of Chrome on mine and they have a bunch of it in stock. Also powder coated tip wings and pasenger handles.
They do a lot of costum stuff for all brands but have already done a bunch on Vic. Visions.

A great bunch.

Thanks for the info guys.

I truck through many parts of the country and would stop at dealers that I knew stocked this stuff. Two out of the 3 above I go by at least once a month.... maybe they have enough room to park 77 feet of tractor and trailer?

I don't mind ordering from my dealer since they give me a discount, but it's nice to see what I didn't know was available and try on shoes and coats.
I would buy the wife and I nice riding boots if I could find a pair that don't have that frickin Harley name on it.
Harley Harley everywhere, but none in stock anywhere that are either blank or have a real name on them.

Victory has a very nice riding boot. I bought a pair for myself and they are comfy but not super comfy. Great for riding but not so much for walking any distance. They are a lace up boot with two zippers on either side. Lace up once and zip, zip there after.

Hey IRR:
Check out Chippewa Boots style 27862 @ http://www.chippewaboots.com/technology/motorcycle.asp

These are hard wearing (note the shift pad), waterproof ( I used to live in Tennesee so I do know about rain) comfortable on the ride I have no issues with heat on my legs that seems to plague other Vision riders.

The tops are padded - not unlike a motocross boot but without the armor plating. Steel toes and Vibram soles.

The velcro closures make them easy to put on and take off after a long ride. I also find them easy and comfortable to walk in.

On top of that you get a real bike boot without having to resort to the traditional engineers style, nor do you have to buy something with an HD Logo.

Oh yeah and best of all they're made in the USA- just like the Vision.

I second that. It's Tri-City Performance. 1-801-298-8081. They stock a TON of parts and clothing. Last I knew they had delivered 23 Visions and at least half got the mods that I did which required a lot of breakdown and reassembly. all my flat gray is painted or chromed. XM, exhaust and more. Pics in the photo gallery. If you are in the intermountain west you need to check this store out.
