Im going to put a lifetime oil filter on mine thats suppose to reduce engine heat 15- 20 degres ill let you know once i purchase it.

I asked a local dealer about his experience with that oil filter. He had nothing relevant to add. This is new stuff, so please let us know the results. I'd like to do anything that can cool the engine a bit.

I used a digital non contact thermometer to compare my Vision to my wife's 92" Kingpin. I was VERY SURPRISED that the 106" only ran 3-8 deg. hotter (checked 5 locations) than her motor. The exhaust however is a different story.........the Vision is a good 30 deg hotter on the rear jug. The 106" has large fins and does a ggod job of pulling the heat off the motor and I guess the design of the Vision does a good job of dumping it on your leg! I use cruising pegs to get my legs out of the heat.
