Posts: 53 Island Lake, Alberta, Canada | Which mufflers would you buy? Currently have stock download & mufflers, lloydz defusser & VFC III. Not looking for the loudest, just performance & fuel economy. Gained milage with the VFC, approx. 1.5 km./liter. One of these days will have to switch the speedo over to miles to check it out, keep forgetting. Has anyone figured out how to switch the clock to 12 hour formatt & still keep the KMs. |

Posts: 64 Columbia,MO | I installed the Cycle Dragon Exhaust yesterday. I liked the fact they are tunable. They use the stock chrome shields just like the Ness Big Honkers. You can use the stock or gatlin tips also. I left the pipes exactly as they came. Which means I left all the packing inside and also left my cats intact. It sounds deeper and more thoaty with a little bit of volume. Still hear the radio fine but now it sounds like a big V-twin. It was just what I wanted but to each their own. Cycle Dragons also cost less and support this site. Hope this helps. |

| I've got the Cycle Dragon pipes as well but I removed half of the packing they originally came with, I've gotten complements on the sound from other bikers and of course I like the sound too.
God price. |

All the detailed instructions are there for setting the clock and choosing between MPH and KPH.
I happen to be using the Stage 1, level 2 muffler. I have no complaints at all with this set up. I wish i would have the fluted tips, but i like the sound of the level 2 and the pipes beath better and lets the heat move off quicker.

That's how I interpret the owner's manual instructions also. |

Posts: 235 Evergreen, CO | I've got the Stage1/Level1 mufflers. Quite happy with them, as they are a little throatier than stock, but not obnoxiously loud. Been there, done that with the loud pipes on my Harleys, and for longer rides, it just wears you down. Everyone has their own preference, so just listen to as great an assortment as you can, nad choos the one that is best for you.
Regarding which muffler sheds the most heat????? The one that gets ridden the fastest!!! heh heh heh |
