Posts: 1290 Ruskin, Fl | I took the extended warranty when I bought my Vision. The salesman didn't try to sell it to me, it came up when I inquired about the factory warranty. I paid $900 for five years contract. Sorry to say I didn't do the research on what exactly it covered, but I have it on my car and it has paid for itself and than some. |

| Never have and probably never will.
It's like playing poker...chances are you'll never have to use it and it's a sucker bet.
It's like buying life insurance...you're betting you are gonna' die and they're betting you're not. |

Posts: 3204 Memphis | Since it was a first year model, I also got the 5 yr warranty. The nice thing about this one is that if I don't make a claim during the warranty period, I get the $900 back when it expires. Can't really lose. It will have to be a pretty major issue for me to make a claim. |

You pay insurance on an annual basis in case something is going to happen and one years insurance premium is more than the five year warranty. Sounds like a no brainer to me. If for some reason in five years the electronic module should happen to go bad, thats a $1,000 part. Its pretty easy for a short to happen and then its to late. As common as a voltage regualtor/rectifier is to go bad in five years, that alone would almost pay for the extended warranty in it self. Especially if you were on a trip and had to go to the nearest Victory/Polaris dealer that you may not be familiar with. |

Posts: 113 East Ohio | I also purchased the warranty due to it being a first year model, i figure there will be some hiccups and this should help with dealing with the dealer since i have the warranty. 4500 miles and no problems, but its nice knowing the bike is covered, at $70 an hour labor and parts are not cheap, it would not take long to rack up a huge bill, especially if they are not accustomed to the bike and use trial and error to figure out what is wrong, not that that has ever happened before.

Posts: 1324 So Cal | I bought the 5 year. The price was right. Use it once and it pays for itself. Not to mention the extras it covers when you breakdown. Plus, its tempting fate. If I dont buy it. It will break 1 day after the 1 year warr. expires. Now I figure I have 5 years and 1 day before it breaks. |

Posts: 1484 LaPorte,Tx. | I have been told that induction and fuel control won't void the warranty, don't know that for sure. Dealers get more excited for lack of service records on a warranty claim, but as we all know if you can document your service, you can make your claim. Still again at the high $ per hour, any small issue will cost a lot, unless your wrench handy. |

I am currently shopping, and My time is running out (October). It is a first year production, so I
do want a 5 year. Don't buy until you find out what I paid in the next Month or 2, and from where.

| Nope no extended for me. I can handle most issues myself which I doubt I'll have anyhow. I've made sure all other little issues have been documented under the current warranty so if I have issues later they have to honor the repair as warranty. Heck I've made most of the repairs myself since picking it up, but I still make sure the dealer has a record of the problem. This is as good a place as any to put this: Make sure if you take your bike in for anything that they LIST "each" reported problem separately on the invoice along with a repair action. Dealers like to short change the paper work by listing only one or two items and not ALL. Thats good for them and bad for you if the problem reappears later. |

Posts: 404 San Antonio, TX United States | I detail everything i can when i perform repairs and corrections to the polaris line of vehicles for the customer for that very reason. I have all the tools and specialty items at my fingertips for my personal use so i never have to worry about labor and i still got the warranty just to cover parts. I know how little trouble the polaris line is, but the one time i have a stator or Engine control module or voltage regulator go out, i know i will be covered. Cause i know that when it does happen, i wll probably be 2000 miles from home and have to use a strange dealership and not have the luxury of doing my own work and have to deal with their labor charges. |
