| Has anyone ever laid vision over on tip overs to change front tire out? have no jack need to change out front tire any suggestions ....

I put a piece of 4x4 under the rear wheel once its' over on the side to allow clearance of removing the wheel. I also remove the front half of the front fender. See, no jack. |

And you have to remove the front fender as well? Is it not a pain in the ass to line everything back up sideways when reinstalling the tire? As opposed to removing/installing the tire in a vertical fashion?
Seems to a hard way of doing it.

| Pull the front fender for sure. Once you have the fender off pull the breaks. Loosen the pinch bolts and the axle. Your going to have to tip it to the left or kick stand side. |

Posts: 1290 Ruskin, Fl | I had been using a Craftsman jack and was quite comfortable with it. I recently borrowed a Harbor Freight jack from a friend and the bike was VERY unsteady. On hind sight I wound not do it again. The bike was firm on the jack, the jack had a ton of flex in it. It was really scary. Also the bike came down REALLY fast. Bad seal or something. I would pay a little extra and not risk thousands in damage if there is a mishap. I put the weight on the rear tipovers while I went and hid tires mounted. Had a buddy come over and steady the bike while I got the rear wheel on.
I had a front tire changed a local shop once. I was shocked when I looked out and they had a regular floor jack under the frame by the right tip over and kinda leaned it up on the kick stand. Seemed dumb since they had 3 bike lifts. I wasn't thrilled with that, but it worked. They had a guy on the kick stand side to make sure it didn't fall over while the mounted the new tire.

Posts: 1632 Jasper, MO | I've got a Harbor Freight jack and have used it on several bikes. However, I will NOT trust it under my Vision. It's just not sturdy enough for that much weight.
