Posts: 1290 Ruskin, Fl | The guy that painted mine used a "self etching" primer. I got the paint from the dealer. The cost for a quart of black (cherry may be more) is $109. It is a single stage paint and the can of activator is included. The instruction sheet said that clear can be applied after a certain dry time. I don't have it in front of me. The paint came from a third party company in Milwaukee. I can get you the info off the can when I get off shift tomorrow if you want. I couldn't find a body shop that would deal with a motorcycle Somebody did it on the side for me. I'm not happy with the quality of the actual painting. I have orange peel and some fisheyes. I got what i paid for. |

Company name: M.I.C.I. Midwest Industrial Coatings, Inc
Address on can: 4910 12th Ave. East Shakopee, MN 55379
Large can (paint) SE5200 Black Mix 5 : 1 with SE5085
Small can (about a pint) SE5085 Activator
This time I have the documentation also. (This is my second quart. Not happy with the spray job and looking for somebody to redo it).
SE5000™ Polyurethane Basecoat
It lists all the specs. I can scan it for you if would like me to.
The list of available colors doesn't show cherry, but does list a Super Steel Grey SE5809 mixed 6 : 1 ratio.
