Has anyone installed the accessory power outlet from victory, on their vision? Is it just a matter of plugging it into one of the ports or do you have to wire it in?

I put two of them on mine - one right in front of me and one for my passenger. The wiring is just a matter of plugging into the harness, but you have to cut a hole to mount it. Not too difficult, though.

The instructions call for a 11/16" hole for both the passenger and driver ports. This is not large enough - especially with the driver's, which is cut in aluminum. You will either have to grind the hole a bit larger or cut a 3/4" hole to start with (which may be better, since it is really hard to find a 11/16" hole saw anywhere). You have to use the template to mark the position to cut the driver's. It is not pre-marked.

The two power ports that come with the Vision are in the glove compartment and in the trunk. They are the BMW style powerlets and not the cigar lighter style that cars come with. You'll need an adapter for most applications, but BMW style are much more secure and efficient.

Are you talking about the port in the front compartment and in the trunk as being 12v accessory
outlets?

Most dealers have them, or they can be ordered from Victory.
There are after market folks who sell them too.

You can order them from Victory or your dealer. Better yet you can order them from the people that make them for Victory.

Yes - They are both 12 volt accessory outlets.  If I'm not mistaken, most, if not all, electric gloves and clothing have BMW-style connectors.  The one in front is switched with the ignition key and the one in the trunk is always on.

i don't get why victory put ths in. Sure they are more secure but I can't plug anything I own into them so i have to resort to plugging a cigarette lighter style anyway and plugging in my phone, pda etc. seems to defeat the purpose. i'm probably just going to change them out.
