Sort of sounds like something is rubbing...but I can't seem to find anything that is loose. |

Posts: 231 Hampton Va | yes I did I went to true value hardware got a rooll of firm black 3/8 thick weather strip and put it all the way around on the landing of where the seal now lands and it went away...my problem started when i installed the rack and it was heaver then it was causing the latck not to be tite...good luck |

Posts: 249 Montreal, QC Canada | You can also try putting some electrical tape around the trunk latch. That will tighten up the seal. |

1st - open the lid and wiggle it a little to the left. I had an annoying sqpeak and that's what fixed it for me. Seems the lid shifted just enough for the two pieces of the right side hinge to rub against each other. Then...
2nd - spray a little dry film lubricant on both hinges.
That should clear it up for ya!

| I'd also suggest you REMOVE the trunk and put some sticky back foam tape where the trunk rubs on the body panel (don't worry about specific location you'll see it when you remove the trunk). |
