Well...not actually summer, but first week of June - close enough. Four of us heading on an adventure from Saskatchewan, Canada - 2 Harleys, my VV, and a Gold Wing. Head west through Alberta to B.C., cut down thru Washington over to Seattle, then down the coast. Hoping to get all the way to L.A., then up to Vegas, over to Denver, then north...Wyoming, South Dakota (hope for a day in the Black Hills), North Dakota, and home. Planning on 2-3 weeks, total miles about 4,200. Not an Ironbutt, but still a goodly amount of riding. We've never been down the Pacific Coast before (at least not all the way) and we are SOOOO stoked to get there.
I'll keep a record of the journey and share it once we're home safe.
Cheers, everyone!

Wow, that's an impressive agenda for sure. Grindel must be one of those executives or retired? Just hounding you a little bit since I'm jealous. I normally head north in the Summer to try to beat the heat in Flagstaff, Williams, Payson, Prescott, and the Grand Canyon for a day ride or two days tops. If you're going to be in Northern Arizona at all, which doesn't appear to be the case give me a heads up and will try to meet up.

I'm hoping I'll have a chance to head out to Lake Shasta, CA this summer to pickup a Russel Day Long seat for the ol girl, but have not made any concrete plans to do that as yet, but that would be the longest trip I plan to make this summer and maybe once to Riverside CA to visit brother due to being a working stiff and work commitments

My friend in the Czech Republic just left this morning for Spain with three of his buddies. He is also one of those executives I told him to take plenty of pictures and keep me posted since they hit rain on the way out. Nothing like seeing our beautiful land on a motorcycle to take it all in. I just hope when I retire I will have the strength and finances to make this happen on my end because nothing would make me happier. Safe Travels everybody in wherever your going.

If you can make the time, spend more than a day around the Sturgis area. It is famous for other reasons but really does provide great riding in the area.

Be sure to take the coastal highway south of San Fransisco to LA. We did most of it in a car last spring, and it was killing me that we were not on a bike.

The 3 through Crowsnest Pass all the way to Osoyoos is also a nice bike highway.
