Posts: 332 Dale, Indiana | To me, painting chrome is like a wooden stack in the heart of a vampire.
That being said; it does look cool.
However, I'd rather take a cleaning rag to it once a week.
Painting chrome …… oh Elizabeth I think I am having the big one!

Posts: 296 Central Florida | Thank you for all your comments. I will give the bike a quick clean as needed. I keep it clean but not spotless, no q tips or other detail like work.
My Vision has its own garage(made for a golf cart) . Tips get hot and powdercoat will definitely fade within a year or two. I am sure I will have new pipes head to tip before that happens.
Victory's Chrome wasnt the best anyway.
While I was at it. I powdercoated front forks, and front wheels. Now I need to decide if I want to put the reflectors on fork legs back on or led lights or?? suggestions???
It was too dark last night to take pix of forks and wheels. will post em later...

Took the front forks apart for 15K service. Took them apart and had them powdercoated.
This job is not for the faint of heart. You need a tabletop spring compressor as well as some other
tools I didnt have. dealer wanted 4 hrs labor for R+R on forks. also replacement seals (required at service) run $140! Put 10W fork oil in and really cuts back on the oscillations on bumps.
felt much more comfortable leaning into turns, almost like defying gravity.
you dont realize that that fork oil degrades as it happens slowly.
just under 18000 miles on the Vision now
