Posts: 143 Sparta, WI | I am wondering, how many of you Vision Riders went to Sturgis? I drove mine from Sparta WI. We are 700 miles from the Buffalo Chip. I put on 2100 miles by the time I got back home. I saw only one other Vision at the campground and I think one of the campground mangers owned it. Saw about 10 other Visions during a 4 day stay. Camping at the Buffalo Chip is no place for this Victory. It needs more space. Sure did get alot of attention. We all made it back home safe. Only close call was rocking a trash can back and forth with my right front ferring on the way back to camp after watching Kid Rock. No damgae done. It was either the trash can or the dude walking towards me. All's well that ends well. |

Posts: 412 Fargo, ND | I also went to Sturgis. We usually go the week prior as it's easier to enjoy the Black Hills as they really are a great place to ride and lots less bikes. We got to Sturgis on Wednesday of the previous week and left for Colorado on Saturday. Spent a few days touring Colorado and then back to Sturgis on Wednesday of 'Bike Week'. Lots of people and bikes, however, I feel the numbers were really down (just my gut feeling). Motel rooms are in short supply and very expensive along with gasoline. We did about 3,500 miles in 10 days and even enjoyed the rain we got...which was very little. I traveled with 2 Wings, 1 Ultra and 1 8-Ball. My buddies had about enough of my Vision as it was the only bike strangers looked at and made comments about. You'd think the others were riding dirty laundry! Life is Good! |

When in September? I may actually have my shiny new red Vision by then. I live in Rapid City by the way. |

| We rode from San Francisco to Sturgis, Took 2 1/2 day's to get there (1600 mi). The bike ran great. My buddies Harley, had to hit the shop 2 times on the trip. On the way home it poured and I was the only one not wearing rain gear, I never got wet. I made believers out of a lot of Harley owners. We got a chance to view the new anniversary edition, what a great ride. I saw 6 other Visions owners on the trip. We purchased a set of chrome wheels and rotors from Arlens while in Sturgis, Kevin Ness was great. He had to ship the front wheel from California to Sturgis overnight and after all said and done I saved almost a 1K.

| I don't have a Vision yet. I was there. I stay in Hill City and there was a Vision there everyday. I never got to meet the owner.
Kind of glad I did not buy an '08 cause reverse should be good for my short legs. :p |

I may be walking during that time. I am trading in a Jackpot this week in anticipation for my Antares Red Vision. I just don't know when that will be here. If you need tips while your in the area I will help however I can.
Just remember, "Iron Mountain Road" when your in the Rapid area. |
