Posts: 374 Tucson, AZ | Well i was taking the Vision in for the 5000 mile check and was also having some squealing noise. At first i thought i might be belt squeal, or maybe an exhaust connection was loose and was squeaking. When i picked up the bike the next day the Techs first question was...how long is your dirt road? I thought heck how does he know this....what i was hearing was a build up of small stones and sand from my road that had collected in the primary cover. He said they were baffled as well and decided to check the front pully and when they removed the cover a whoop load of stuff fell out. So he reccomended i use air to blow it out occasionally or bring it by once a week and they would be glad to do it for me. So just a heads up for those of you that live on dirt roads...if you hear a strange noise like belt squeal you might want to try the air hose first. Might save you a trip for service and also give you some piece of mind.

Posts: 1632 Jasper, MO | Thanks for the tip. I live 2 miles off the paved road, which is why I went with the SSG color. I liked the Midnight Cherry the best, but that color shows every speck of dirt. The only time my bikes are clean is when I wash them in town at the beginning of a ride.
