Posts: 548 Mount Vernon, WA United States | It's only a dumb question if you haven't worked on lets say an early 80's Moto Guzzi where after searching for the oil filter (for a few hours) you finally find out it's INSIDE!!! the $%#*&'n Pan. After that discovery several years back.... there are not dumb questions.

Posts: 725 Reno County, KS | Good lord! Have any of you ever owned a V-Star? I HATED changing the oil on my 05' bike (like the bike though, gave it to my Dad because he does too). Anyway, you had to take the exhaust off the bike because it covers the case you had to pop off the side of the motor to get to the paper filter element. Screw-on filters are a HUGE step up for me! |

Yep...been there done that. Had an '05 and it was a trip having to pull the pipe and then the side cover of the engine. The oil filter was INSIDE the motor!!!
Changing the oil on a Vic is way too easy! |
