Posts: 573 Central Illinois | I have used that upgrade on a 1965 BMW and a 1981 Honda. Right now I don't have it yet on my Vision but it is only a year old. Someday I may have that same upgrade. |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | what was your '81 Honda? I had a CB750 Custom that I miss riding. Great bike and it would tear up the highway. The only thing I didn't like is fooling with the chain... |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | I bought my '81 new in 1984 new from the box and rode that for about 3 years. After my first real winter I put a used Vetter fairing on it from a wreck yammy. The shop that sold it to me thought it was wrecked also and quoted me a price of $50. When it came in, however, it was in really good shape and only needed a new lense cover and I needed the honda mounting bracket. That changed my mind on riding with farings and vowed to go with full-farings there on out. I used to ride with my feet on the faring with the throttle lock on and my arms on across my knees smoking a cigerette (quit in 1993) on those lone I-95 stretches in NC. Sometimes, though, I'd like to let the wind eat me again... |

Chris, I have a set of stock mufflers I removed a couple years ago. I haven't looked at them in quite a while, but they are yours if want them. |

Actually I ended up having to remove the handlebars, cutting the bolt off and then slipping the upper trees off the forks and replacing the trees with a new one. This was actually the easiest and quickest way to fix the stripped out pinch bolt, and the new trees weren't that expensive. |
