Plenty of get up and go until 3500 rpm, then acts like hitting rev limiter. Happens in every gear.
Dealer checked fuel output and said was good.
Happening through several tanks of gas
Added injector cleaner & changed plugs.
No change
Any ideas?

Could be fuel flow after the check point, could be coil, it could be ecm, it could be - how about they put it on the Victory wrench instead of guessing. Anything after checking the fuel pressure and flow should show up on the fault list.

Thanks everyone

Checked battery terminals before, although battery is 4 years old now.

Over 1k miles left on trip, so will try to get into Vallejo CA wrench tomorrow

Does it act like the bike is waiting for the clutch to catch up when you nail it? Kyle fixed my clutch cable bracket and she has been perfect since.

I forgot to ask.. is this bike stock?

Is there any play in your throttle cable?

Will it Rev past 3500 rpm in neutral? I think a long time ago I had something like this happen to me.. but it wasn't on a fuel injected bike.. and from what i remember I think they called it vapor lock or something? Not even sure this is possible on our scooters... but for me I think the test was to open the gas cap. And try it or see if I heard a suction when I did open the cap.. this thread has really peaked my interest.. for me way back when. I would open my gas cap I would be OK for a while. Then happen again.. (when the pressure built back up) like I said I'm not sure this is even possible on out bikes. But I am curious

Pull right hand cheese wedge now twist throttle all the way open. With you finger see if you can move the throttle cam wheel push it forward.
Do this when cold and no need for bike running. If it move your cable is out of adjustment.
Could be gas cap just loosen it and ride and see if you can get over 3500
When you turn your key on the volt gauge should read V and when you start it should read V even going down the hwy.
Have you checked the spark plug wires to make sure there on all the way.

Call Rylan at the Vick shop hes in IA. I know he will help if he can 515.339.4313 hes a great guy

Well, as unlikely as this is, it appears I got bad gas from two different stations in different cities.
Sequence of events: On a trip, filling up in different cities/locations.
Filled up, and started to notice power issues (1st bad gas). Added injector cleaner, topped off with 2 gal.
Still problems, so ran low, then refilled (second bad gas).
Ran through gas, and on way to dealer filled up to have fresh gas for their troubleshooting.
As I headed in noticed was finally running better, so detoured and drove for an hr. Got better and better,
and now, three tanks later, is all good.

So again, thanks everyone!

Loose ends:
Bike stock
Clutch good as to be expected for 57k miles
Cleaned air filter before trip
Sparkplug wires on solid, but may replace for gp
Will watch gas cap
I did notice last week my throttle cables. One seemed to have 1/2" more play, so will investigate further when i get home.

Since you had some bad gas. I would throw some seafoam in the tank for the hell of it.
