Fountain Inn, SC United States | The Victory Highway Relay Live GPS Tracking
As in years past, Victory-Riders.com is happy to support the VMC by providing Live GPS tracking of the Victory Motorcycle Club's annual V2V Relay cross-country ride. Comprised of 14 legs and taking as many days, the route follows the old Victory Highway and culminates with finishing its last leg on July 4th, the date of Victory Motorcycles' first production bike. This year it begins in San Francisco, CA and travels east to Chicopee, MAoddly enough, not too far from Springfield, MA, the original location of Indian Motorcycles, another of Polaris' brands.
You can follow the progress of the ride on our sister site Victory-Riders.com which allows fellow riders to post comments & photos from the road via their smart phone.

Fountain Inn, SC United States | Yes, unfortunately it relies on each leg's Road Captain (or assigned SPOT person) to turn it on AND enable tracking each morning. I've posted on the VMC that anyone joining the ride please mention to the Road Captain to be sure they have the SPOT turned on AND tracking. There should be a card with easy instructions included with the device. I know that in the rush to get organized and going in the morning, the SPOT isn't always on peoples' minds. Thats too bad, because Victory corporate is even promoting the GPS tracking through its press releases and on its website.
If you fog on the ride, please give the Captain a friendly reminder about the SPOT.
Thanks!
