Posts: 30 Bellevue, NE | I was up at the Victory rally this past weekend and got to see the new blue ice color. It looked good on the Kingpin with the pearl white paint contrasting it. I did see a Vision drive past with the new color, and yes, it does look gay. The color just doesn't fit with so much painted surface area on the bike.

| I thought the Blue Ice Visions looked great. I heard the color was received very well at Sturgis. At the Polaris R&D facility, an engineer said the Blue Ice is an exact match the blue used on the 59' corvette. |

Why does everything have to be gay? Are you? Just because a fella likes the blue does it make him gay? Shouldn't! But here we are Gay again? Or does this Gay mean that you are just happy, that's what it used to mean. So, the blue ice is happy, then!
I personally like the darker colors, a deep dark metallic blue would suit me better, but I wouldn't hesistate to swing a leg over that color either. Colors are like women, thank god there are a bunch of em' and occassionally you get to choose one to suit your needs! Good and naughty! I think that's why I like the black, it's got a little sinister, naughty, who's your daddy, Attitude? If i was feeling a little giddy and lovable, got the wife along for a Sunday drive, I take the BLUE ICE! I like it. Then all it takes is to say the color is from a 59 vette and wa la, it is now even more desirable than my black. Dang it! Now I got to go change colors. Oops, hope my bike didn't hear that.

Posts: 2027 Brighton, TN | Who is the other normal determining partner when purchasing a bike? I figure the color was a soft color to offset the two dark ones, kinda like the Super Steel Grey. It also wouldn't suprise me if their research showed a high interest of women riders who would ride (buy) if the color was softer or lighter. BMW's have always had a soft color for the most part. Rarely a deep dark color like the Black or Midnight cherry. it's all about the Ego or lack thereof as to whether or not you feel secure riding around and be seen on a soft color. Make a vision in Puke green from the 70's and I would still ride it. Pansies! |

I like to dissect what people say, because things are different than they used to be and words mean different things than they used to. Used to be if you said, "Coke!" that only meant one thing where I grew up. Now it is different, coke might mean the stuff you snort into your cranium. Supper barely exists, dinner used to be lunch time, etc.
Put the "R" in and it don't make sense, take the "R" out of "Straight" and you got "staight" never heard of that word.
No need to apologize, I'm just bustin' chops and ramblin'! If you can offend me, I'll be impressed. Many have tried. |

Um yeah. The Ice Blue color is happy! Actually, I'm guessing someone on the design team thought it was "fabulous" like a rainbow. LOL Why would you drag a 59 Vette into this? What did that poor-a$$ Vette do to deserve being painted that color? Besides, I finally realized when it was that I last seen this color application. It was on a gawdy bass boat that was still held over 3 or 4 years after it showed up to the dealer. No joke. |

Posts: 2027 Brighton, TN | Speaking of different color, the local hd dealer had a fully loaded out Ultra classic, with a bunch of accessories on it. About Three years old and still sitting on the showroom floor. It was a 70's two tone green light and dark. They were cutting the price on it quite a bit and still no one was buying it. |

| I like the blue in the pics at least. I guess I will like it even more when the price goes down cause no one else wants it..........
I'll add some gray and white trim and we'll be in good shape.

That is an awesome Black & Green Kawasaki color scheme. I am smelling copy right
infringement
I like the gay color from what I have seen on the computer. It reminds my of Kawasaki's
first year run, 2004, of the Vulcan 2000. Glacier Blue.
How do you guys post pictures?

All you have to do is concentrate real hard, press both index fingers on the monitor screen, close your eyes and yell "Be gone, picture!". |

How does it "look gay"? Does the exhaust have a lisp? Does your wrist go limp on the throttle? Does the console have one of those little chin womb brooms?
Remember....Real men, confident in their sexuality and in their person, do not worry about colors.
Personally, I think pink shirts look good and seeing the blue ice color I'd buy it before the cherry or black...and even the gray.

Posts: 619 Southeast Iowa | I agree with Mazman...........the light blue Vision looks gay (not that there is anything wrong with that) It's just an opinion and I'm sure some will like it. I however am not one of those. Victory brought the Black Cherry and Black back because those are the 2 that sold the best. If you doubt me you only needed to look around the AVR. Grey were few and far between and are not on the list for 09. I think when 09 is over the light blue will be discontinued. If you like it you better order now! |

No offense but the Ness Vision is the one that I thought was....you know "Happy."
The original Arlen Ness Vision was awesome but this new thing seems to have a bunch of Euro graphics on it. Just not my style, but heck if you like it....go for it.
Of all the bikes for '09....the Cory Ness Jackpot and the 10th Anniv Vision are the best.
Cheers. |

Posts: 320 Savannah, GA -Year round riding!! Yay! | OK, speaking as 'the girl' on the board, I'm not big on the late 80's, Subaru blue. What color would this chick like to see? Maybe, for the lighter, softer color, pearl white (I like the Ultra Classics and Wings I've seen in that, with their big painted surfaces). Or a yellow (yeah, ya spend this much on a bike, it's like yellow Vette or Challenger... "Look at me!" ) But I'll still stick with my black. It goes with everything and doesn't make my butt look big (it does that by itself!)

Posts: 143 Sparta, WI | A Blue Ice Vison is like Elton John playing at the 100th Harley Party. It just ain't right. Did they vote on that one or is one of the big shots at Victory a little light in the loafers? That's O.K. don't matter to me but, but, but I just don't understand. Blue Ice, What da..... |

Posts: 725 Reno County, KS | I agree with Trixie (although I don't like off-white on the Ultras because it always reminded me of what sun-fade does to white). A white pearl (with a little diamond dust if it must be shiny) would have been much better than Blue Ice. At least white's prestigious. I happen to think that the stark white Wing is the nicest they offer. All the Hayabusa's I seen that were white were very attractive too. Now imagine what that would look like with REAL chrome twins and big a$$ zoomy pipes on the vision. Shoot, I'm actually starting to like the idea of shooting it on my bike just to get away from the crowd! LOL White and brushed aluminium. Hmmm Maybe I should Photoshop it! |
