Fountain Inn, SC United States | While at the AVR, I spoke with a Vision owner (not yet a VisionRider member) who had contacted HitchDoc and was told they were creating a hitch for the Vision. This person indicated it would cost about $50 less that the Bushtec hitch. I got the impression that the HitchDoc was almost ready to release the hitch. I urged the rider to join this site and report his findings knowing that others would be interested.

Posts: 447 Cleveland, GA | When I was first thinking about getting a hitch for the Vision I called up HitchDoc to see if they were planning to develop a hitch (I already had a HitchDoc hitch on my Honda Shadow 1100). Their response: "Thank you for your recent inquiry concerning our hitches; however, I am sorry to inform you that we do not carry a hitch for your type of bike. If we do plan on making a hitch for your bike, I can contact you if you would like me to."
What turned me off was that I had asked if they PLANNED to build one - I already knew they didn't yet carry one. They didn't answer my question. So I called up Bushtec and asked them if they planned to develop one and they said they would just as soon as they had the use of a Vision to develop the prototype. So I loaned them mine and they got the jump on the market. Since I'm in Kuwait for a year, my bike was available to them for extensive testing to make sure it was done right.
It's all about customer service. |

| interesting that after Bushtec builds one that HitchDoc is now coming out with one, for fifty bones less. I got the same type of response from Hitch Doc when I called them. Thanks again for giving up your bike for the rest of us. |
