Posts: 261 Sugar Land, TX (Outside of Houston) | I think I remembered someone saying they bought this and it not working, but I thought surely, Victory would not sell incompatible parts.
But for you 2008 Owners, don't bother buying the RAM Ball Mount for the Handlebars AND the RAM "Screw In" Ball that is advertised in the 2009 Catalog. The Ball has fine threads and the bracket has course threads. No Workie!
Thanks to remembering that someone on this Forum had the same problem, I pulled them out of the plastic at the dealer and sure enough - The Ball would not screw into the Bracket.
The Parts guy looked baffled and said "I guess we will have to ask Victory what the deal is with that".
Shame - because it is a neat bracket (although it should be chrome and not black.
If anyone knows the RAM Ball that does work, let me know and I will still buy the bracket.

Which RAM Mount do you have on the Handle Bars and can you provide a Picture? The Bars have that weird flat space and I would like to see what you put on it. |

Here is my original thread for the Kruzer Kaddy cup holder. Much cheaper, looks WAY better/cleaner (IMHO of course)...

Again, make sure your Kruzer Kaddy has the newly designed clamp to fit most bar sizes. The older clamp will not work.

Posts: 261 Sugar Land, TX (Outside of Houston) | Thanks 1atom12 - I like the looks of that one better.
I do like RAM Mounts because I use them on all the other bikes, but apparently Victory needs to work on their "Packaging" of parts to make sure they fit. |

The tool set would cost 5 times more then the Cup Holder anyway.
However, your dealer has the tools.
That being said, Victory dropp3ed the ball on this one and they need to take it back.
Sure wish I would have seen that chome Cup Holder in that other thread. I like the placement better, and ONLY chrome is cool.
May get it away since it suits me better.

| You can go on RAM's website and look at the different RAM balls with the threaded stud that they offer, the 1" ball is in the "B" size section. I got a call from my dealer that they are in and I will be picking them up on Saturday, the threads are probably just one size off. As far as the mount being black versus chrome, well, it will be chrome after this winter!
BTW, I've ordered the 1/4"-20 tapped ball that I will be using on the "C" clamp from a Bike Butler mug set up that I have left over from my Goldwing, gotta love having a 32 ounce insulated mug and cover to have drinks in! |
