Posts: 231 Hampton Va | Hi all well I started my trip to Florida Wedensday morning at 5 am. What a great time to ride! I left hampton Va and headed up Rt 64 to Rt 85S through Charlotte. As I was in Charlotte I stoped at what I thought was a large Victory dealer but when I got there it was large but did not carry much. By that time it was about time to get fuel and some lunch. There was a very large HD dealer on the top of a hill. It looker very nice so I thought I would stop as I was still looking for some good rain gear. Well I went in there and found no gear....but when I came out there was a crowd arond my bike asking questions for a half hour...I think I sold a vision...LOL... Then I was off to Hotlanta. By this time it was going on 98deg on the computer. I was having very little heat issues! My finial destionation was to be just south of Tampa, but with Fay bearing down on me I decided to go down the west coast of Fl and over to the Panhandle of FL, over near Pesacola. There I spent the night. I arived at about 9PM. so that was 16 hrs on the road and 960 miles what a great ride so far! More to come....The ride from Pensacola to Tampa 500 miles throught the storm........ |

Posts: 935 Rockford, IL | 960 miles in 16 hours with two major time stops? Sheezus......must be doing some major "traffic free speed". Which I thought was impossible to do thru Atlanta. Any chance you have lights & a siren installed?
Hows the MPG?
Going single or have a pillion? |
