I knew that would you get someones attention. Vision Dependency that is. I think she already knows. We went to Williamsburg yesterday for lunch, 90+ mile roundtrip, then we go to VB for lunch today, a 180 mile round trip. So between work, and scooting around town and lunch, I've put over 350 on in just two days. Now that ain't much if your on the open highway for two days, but just bumming around thats a good chunk of mileage. This bike continues to be one great ride which the wife enjoys as well. She took a nap on the way to VB today and made me miss my turn off. I don't think I've mentioned before but I put the passenger floorboard risers on and she likes them. I don't because they detract from the looks, but hey who cares about the looks when it rides so great and the wife is happy.

While in Williamsburg, when we came out to the bike after eating, there was an elderly lady in the car next to the bike. She rolls down her window and said she was sitting there admiring our bike and complimented how good it looked. I asked if she ever rode and she said no, but if she was to take it up, it would have to be this bike she would ride.

I went to my CMA meeting (Christian Motorcyclist Association) tonight and one of the guys handed me a "bike for sale" flyer, a Boulivard. Nice looking bike and it belonged to another member. The guy that handed me the flyer said he was selling it to buy a Vision and his bike too was up for sale so he could buy one. I'm going to have to start customizing mine so I'll be able to tell which one is mine in a crowd before too long.

One of the ladies at the meeting said she had seen me at the stop light up the road and was admiring the bike as well, and in line with the starship comments bikes get she said it looked like something from Star Trek. Actually, if you do look at the swoosh, it is close to the Federation symbol. There's another theme I'll have to download.

Space... the final frontier! These are the voyages of the Starship Vision. Its 500,000 mile mission is to seek out new twisties and new terroritory, to boldly go where no Harley has ever gone before...

Ding, ding, ding, Odormeter just turned over 20K, in fact I was at 20,158 as I pulled in my drive. My Ziggy iPod says if I keep this up, I'll have over 26K by my one year anniversary in November. That wouldn't be counting the 3k+ trip to Texas and back if I go in October.

My contribution to slow Global warming was to put all these non-sensical ramblings in one post. But wait, I want Global Warming so we can ride year round. Apparently whatever we are doing to stop GW is working because 2008 has been the coolest year in the last five, so I read. You don't suppose it is a cool year because of a cool bike do ya? Nah...well, maybe.

LOL - That's great! Love the "where no Harley has gone before".

A small Star Trek insignia of some sort would be an interesting idea. USS Vision, NCC 1701-V.

Chris, you have created a large lead in the mileage race. I am just under 18K because the summer has been brutally hot and couldnt ride at all since last sunday due to Hurricane Fay.
as sson as it cools down to 75 or less, the miles will start piling on again.
Hope to add a couple of thousand on ride to Cherokee. I am still undecided...

Honestly, they are not bad looking, it is that you and I know they are there. No one else will really notice. They are functional and provide the needed foot support. The dealer has two on each side since his wife is really short.

Even so DB, don't forget you don't get ice down your way, at least not too often. Sounds like we'll run neck and neck for the years to come. Glad you survived Fay.
