I have misplaced  the bolts to put the trunk back on.

Can anyone tell me what size and length I need? Metric or standard? It should be standard, but Im not sure.

I need to get the trunk back on today for a trip.

M8 x 40...... I'd pick up allen head if you can find them as it makes them much easier to install and remove.

yes basically you need a 2 inch long bolt. Any hardware store should have these in M8 x 40..... have fun....... T

Actually, socket head allen bolts are measured from under the head of the bolt and 40 mm equates to 1.5748". The stock bolt used by Victory is of the flanged hex head style, you should be able to order the proper bolts from McMaster Carr, just google the name and you will see their website where you can order just about any type of fastener you want.

Travelin Man, well my friend you might be absolutely right, but then again the bolts as I measured them are 2 inches in length. Of course these are the bolts that come with the passenger backrest not the stock tour pack bolts, but the spec's I provided are from the backrest installation guide.
I used the backrest allen head bolts rather than the stock hex heads when I reinstalled my tour pack as they are much easier to get the proper torque on and easier in general to get back out. This is why I suggested he might want to go that route.
Anyhow I sure appreciate your input and knowledge since I didn't really do any equations, just a quick tape measure. Thanks for the clarification.
