Posts: 562 SC, Bluffton | Last week-end, the trunk didn't get shut all the way. I noticed it on Tuesday I think.
Yesterday, the Vision was d e a d ! I hooked it up to a battery tender overnight, and
it started right up today. We are glad & hope that is all it was. The only thing that has
me worried is the status lights on the Deltran Battery Tender. The red light was solid
last night. That was good indicating there was more than 3v, and the connections were
proper. This morning, the red light was on, and the green light was blinking. That
measns it was 80% charged. As of this evening, the green light is still blinking. I
expected the green light to be solid by this point in time, indicating trickle-maintain
mode. We are still happy it fired up, as our dealer is 40 minutes away, and I have
no trailing means.

When you push the button in the light goes off, but that lid must not push it in far enough. It was dead the next morning. The trunk is not big enough for me to crawl into and shut the lid, so I'll never know. |

| After reading a couple posts about the trunk lite being an issue resulting in a possible dead battery I have kept it switched off.
As for the tender? The tender is just that a tender and isn't really designed to charge a dead battery back up. It can but takes a while.
I'm going to do a little research into replacement batteries but I have YET to measure the dimensions of the battery. So if anyone knows the EXACT measurements and could post them I would sure appreciate them.
A friend MANUFACTURES a battery similar to the Odyssey that requires no maintenance and doesn't drain like a standard. I might be able to talk him into mocking up one for the Vision, or one he already makes might be a suitable fit I just need the dimensions. |

Try placing a camcorder in the trunk and close it up for a minute. Open it up and replay the tape. Easy to find out if the light is going off or not. |

Most phones have a camcorder of sorts nowadays, so maybe we can see what happens
in the refrigerator too.
Hey, thanks everyone. I didn't know there was an off switch.
Consider it off once I get home from work.
The battery tender finally had a solid green light this morning. 24 hours to
go from 80% to full. Didn't realize it could take so long. All is well.
