Posts: 92 Moncks Corner, SC United States | Has anyone had to plug a punctured front or rear tire? And if so was this a temp fix or did you run the tire until worn out? I just pulled a 2 inch nail from my rear tire. I feel I have a few thousand miles left on it, but not sure if I should just replace. |

| removed a screw this spring. Clean hole so I reamed it out and installed a plug myself. I put just under 5K miles on that plug before I changed the tire out. No problem. |

I ended up changing it because I was going on a long trip and the bank where I got the screw actually replaced the tire for me. They had construction going on and I matched the screw from my tire to screws in the parking lot there!
I have heard of guys using the patch plug which is a patch with a plug end that you put on from the inside of the tire. |
