Installed the CB/ICOM module today, turned the bike on and everything worked. The problem is the radio display and buttons remain on (you know, the pretty blue light) and that's with the key off. Hit the power button on the radio and nothing. I have to disconnect the battery to turn it off, reconnect the battery and it remains off. So I try it again and the same thing happens again. I had to disconnect that battery 5 times. Anyone have the same problem or solution to this problem? I would like to Thank everyone in advance.

When is the last time you had the bike to the Victory Dealer and it was hooked up to the Digital Wrench software? There is a new update for the software that runs the radio since April 10, 2008. This may be part of the problem.

Being serviced does not mean it was hooked up to the Digital Wrench. Most of the time, Digital Wrench is only used when reflashing the exhaust system or if a problem is reported and the tech wants to see if a failure code shows up.

This has been a problem with a pretty large group of Visions including mine. The fix is a new radio, Victory knows about this issue and when I had the problem and took it to the dealer he had replaced several before me under warranty. I don't think anything short of a replacement is what you need. Your description of the problem is exactly what I encountered.

I agree you need to see your dealer.

It is possible you have a miss match in versions of radio and cb. The manufacturer of the infotainment system has been making improvements over the last year in each of the modules and they all need to be updated to the right (and compatible) versions. That isn't to say that you don't need a new radio, only that some of these mismatches can be corrected by reflashing the sw version and others may require they exchange the module.

Having said all that, Has any body heard of these symptoms (won't shut off)? I haven't heard of that problem specifically.

Yes, same situation, won't turn off and stays blue and gray with a bunch of bars. I ran down the battery once and had to unplug it twice before I got it to the dealer.

Had the same problem. Plus, all electronics died also.
Unhooked battery and it would work for a couple restarts.

Radio readout went all crazy at about the same time.

Victory had the dealer reflash the bike, and replace radio since the readout is part of the radio.

That was back in May.
I have had the radio lights stay on 3 times since then. However, restarting the bike and shutting it off again and waiting 1 minute would reset it.
