Posts: 9 Broomfield, CO | I figured it out so I thought I'd share what I learned. Turns out there is a rubber gasket/washer at each bolt hole between the windshield and the mounting bracket. This gasket has a small amount of adhesive on both sides. Once I heated each bolt hole using my wifes hair dryer I was able to get the windshield off with a small amount of prying just using my fingers.
The new Ness windshield looks awesome; hope to get her out on the road today! |
