Put on new tires today and got a good look at my brake pads-rear have plenty of material left after 14,000 miles, however, the front ones have very little left ( about 1/16 inch of the wear slots ). The fronts do start out thinner than the rear, but these are getting to the end. I usually get better than this by 10,000 mile more. Has anyone changed theirs yet? how do yours look after similar miles.
Checked at dealer today and replacements are $85 a pair, but not sure if "pair" means both sides or the 2 pads for one side. If that is only one side that is Ferrari style pricing!

Take a look at this. Seller has 16,700+ feedbacks, 100% positive. That's impressive. Price is for 3 sets.

I had my dealer check my brakes today as he was changing out the rubber pad at the end of the side-stand and my fronts are just about gone and need to be replaced now. I have 21,900 miles on them and I agree that I have gotten more miles on my front brakes on other bikes but I have done a lot of heavy braking on the Vision especially in all the twisties I have ridden.

The rear brake pads have about 50% wear left so they are doing well. My dealer did not have the right pads in stock for the Vision or I would have had them install them today. They ordered them and should have them in on Wednesday. I didn’t get a price on the pads but I will tomorrow as my dealer is open 7 days a week.

I looked at mine today at 24,100 miles and I've got a few more miles left on them. I use my front a lot but find that with kind of mileage out of them, once a year is not bad to change on my cycle.

Looks like you guys are getting about 10,000 mi more
Than I am on the front. Yours sound about right but I'm
disappointed in mine. If I get 2000 more, that will just be
16,000 on them. Oh well, never had such a good ride before
the Vision.

DONT BUY THEM!!!! They are made for Honda VTX 1800 and WILL NOT FIT Vision front!!
I returned them to this guy and told them they dont fit and he decided to continue to sell them.
Hole on Vision front pad is OVAL not round like these he is selling.
They are also crap!!!!
I replaced my fronts and rears at 19K and they were only about 20% worn front and rear... changed out to EBCs better feel...

Thanks devilboy- hadn't looked yet anyway. So, EBC is making pads that fit? Got a part number?

Where did you buy the EBC pads? In reviewing the EBC catalog which is a downloadable spreadsheet it has an * after the part number for the Vision but I can't find what the * means. Is there an issue or an oh by the way you need to be aware of?

I reviewing the Lyndall website they list part numbers for all the Victory cruisers but do not list the Vision. At my dealer yesterday we found out the pads for all the Victory cruisers will not work on the Vision. In reviewing the Victory parts catalog the Vision pads are a different part number and are only for the Vision. What does Lyndall have to day about this? What Lyndall pads and rotors are you going with?

Thanks,

You're spending $1100.00 on two front discs? Not counting pads? You are really serious about stopping!!!

I used to sing prases about Lyndall brake pads when I owned my HD. It was the only rear pad that would last longer than 6k mi.
So, at 8k, when my rear brakes were shot I called Lyndall and ordered a complete set front and rear. The rears the sent were wrong. I ride every day, so I installed the front and found EBC pads locally. Now, at 11k, two days ago I heard a noise from the front rotors. My front pads are nearly gone. This is not the Lyndall I remember. I have EBC's for the front that I will install tomorrow. Hoping for better milage.

I installed the EBC pads I got from Devilboy after he upgraded to composites. The EBC's stop MUCH better than the stock but 1 drawback - they do squeal when they're hot. When inching down Main St in Daytona Beach earlier this month they started squealing but stopped after I got back on the road & colled them off.

Installed the EBC's this morning. The quality even looks better than the Lyndall's. Hopefully they will wear better also. I've heard from others that they are noisey. If I can get 10k out of them and the stop well, I can put up with a little noise.

I was just looking at my pads and looks like it's time to change them. I have used the EBC pads on my Yamaha and was very happy with them. Where did you buy them and what was the cost? Searching the internet for the FA261HH part number kept showing it as a Goldwing 1800 application. These will fir the Vision? Thanks in advance for any information.

Thanks for the info. Biker's Bay was at the local bike night last night. He claims to stock all EBC part numbers and is only twenty minutes away.
