AIR BOX DRAIN HOSE
Check the air box drain hose for fluid sediment whenever
the air filter is inspected or serviced.
1. Pull hose out from behind left leg fairing.
2. Remove the plug (C) and drain any liquid into a waste
oil container. Dispose of properly.
3. Install the plug and place the hose behind the left leg
fairing.
I have a tube hanging down on the left side but it has no cap on it, it is more of a hard plastic tube than a hose. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong thing? (hope so)
If this is the right "hose" am I sucking sand into my intake? |

Posts: 118 Capitol Region of NH | The air filter drain hose is about a 1/2" inside diameter hose, the plug is red. Mine is not behind the fairing leg, it is hanging down in front of the oil cooler, right in open sight if looking through the front. It does accumulate some water when riding in the rain. Hope this helps. |
