Northeastern Penna. | Does anyone know if the rubber pad on the bottom of the kick stand is covered under warranty?
I just noticed that mine is torn a bit on the front edge.I have no idea how it occurred.Maybe I could get a heads up before I contact the dealer. |

Edmonton Alberta, Canada | Mine lasted all of 4 days, I won't go through the trouble of getting another put on as I know it will be off in a short time. We can put a probe on mars.....but we can not build a rubber pad that will last? I put 11,000 km's on my bike with out it. Ran just fine. |

Mine is gone on the bottom and has been for months. I was kidding around about a month ago at the dealer and said that I wanted to put the pad in for a warranty claim. The reply was no because it was fair wear and tear and not a warranty issue. I didn't expect it to be, but I was further told is the pad is really just for the dealership to keep from marring up the flooring.  |

Buffalo Grove,Ill | Dont they make a little "hockey puck" sorta thing with a notch in it for hot asfalt on a hot day ? it keeps the bike from digging in and tipping over. It would fit real nice in the bags. |

Central Florida | Mine replaced it under warranty... He actually replaced entire kickstand since he didnt have a rivet gun big enough to do it. You can drill out the rivets and use a screw and nut .
I have an extra pad, it was about $12... |

US | I still have the giant cow patty pad I got with my Harley keep it in the saddlebag, great here in Florida since alot of places you park in the sand.

Linwood, MI | Yeah, mine lasted about 2 weeks and it's not like I take off all the time with the stand down. It just wore out from the weight of the bike resting on it. I'm thinking of having some kind of fiber plate made up to replace it since the regular rubber one is just way too soft. |

SC, Bluffton | This rubber foot thing is new to me. My Jap bikes die when you put them in gear with the
kick stand down. I have for some reason taken off twice with the stand down on the Vision.
That rubber grabs it, and folds it up quick. I think the rubber is still good, but now I'll have
to check it out. If it is bad, y'all jinxed me.
I am sure Billy Mays has some kind of "as seen on TV" product that will keep the rubber on.

Centennial, CO | yep...that is what the rubber foot is for...to grab the stand in the event you take off with it down. Works well...I have 3k on my bike and mine looks almost new. Hmm... |

So Cal | I had a hard time getting used to how upright the Vision stands on the kickstand. Always thought it was going to fall over on the right incline. Pad is still there, but I wont miss it when it goes. |

Leander,Texas | I have 7600 mile on my bike and the rubber on the kickstand is fine. One thing i would say when your putting the kick stand down make sure it is fully extended and not moving as the bike weigh is applied.
I saw a thread in her regarding this when i bought mine so when i kickstand down a take that extra secound and place it gently down and not rush trying to get off the bike .
My rubber mount looks like new and i haved no issue with it comiing off but that because i noticed it from the begining.

Leander, TX | Mine lasted about 1000 miles and was ripped off completely - I noticed it was because I was turning the handlebars while I was off the bike - you know, turn to the right to dismount then back to the left after I was off so I could lock the fork - or when I needed to open the gas tank - dealership just drilled out the rivets and left it off, and scratched the paint in the bargain. I bought a chrome kickstand and spring and replaced it (kickstand came with the new pad) and that fixed both issues, and now I don't turn the handlebars with the weight of the bike on the kickstand.
When this one goes, I'll do something different.
On my bike, since I'm a big guy, I have a fair amount of air in the suspension, so without the pad it leans over pretty far, and I really miss it. Thinking I might plate the old kickstand and put together a new plastic pad for it, just for practice. |

Madison, AL | I had mine replaced at around 5,000 miles. Cost about $10. The new one seems to be made of more firmer stuff. Maybe it is just the colder weather. |
