The Vision is a great bike and one feature that is often overlooked along with comfort, handling and downright fun, is that it is convertable. I cut back on the Diet Dews and purchased the Street Panel, Backrest and Luggage Rack. I've had a blast the last few months without the Geezer Pack. I would continue to ride the Street Bob, but it is winter and there is more gear to carry around. Also, the wife likes it so she can toss in her essential sack with her when we go out and ride.

But as I reinstalled the Tour Pack, or now dubed the Geezer Pack, It reminded me how great this bike is above all other tourers. A simple 45 minutes to an hour with Dew breaks and your done, very, very simple. Sometimes I feel like Street Rider, sometime I feel like a Geezer, well, never feel like a geezer but think like one sometimes... all the time... when I can remember...

I agree with you varyder...the removeable trunk is a real plus.  It's a totally different ride when you jeteson the 40 lbs of very high weight.  Plus the bike looks even more cool (in my estimation) w/o trunk.

45-60 minutes to change the trunk???? I must be doing something wrong here. Takes me about 15 minutes if I do it myself, about 10 minutes if my girl unit helps. Ya must be drinking a lot of that diet dew.

Oh yea...I agree. Completely different bike without the trunk. Personally I like being "naked"...at least thats how I refer to it.

Well it was the first time putting it back on. I suspect I'll do it much quicker next time. Get this, the wife unit wants me to take it back off already and go Street Bobbed again. Go figure...

The only pics of I have of the Bentley Bobbed is when the front tire was off. However, I may convert back to the sleek look of the Street and ditch the Geezer Pack for my planned long trip.

It looks like he's doing more than just the trunk, though. Appears he has a backrest and luggage rack to put on, too.

I was looking forward to taking mine off too. However I have been riding every place I possible can. Work, school, ect. I have become very spoiled with just throwing the stuff I need in there without have to pick and choose what I leave behind. Tough choice.

I really like the looks of her without the geezer pack, but I agree, I use it so much, I hate to go back to deciding what I may need. Also, it's nice when you take a trip to be able to throw loose items in, like the Diet Dew that I didn't finish at the pit stop. I'm sure I'll go naked sometime, but for now, I leave the geezer pack on and keep it a geezer glider.

Forum GEEZER POLICe, need to respond immediately to this post and shut it down. The (ahem) older Generation do not like to be referred to as GEEZER's. I tried early on to get a large rise out of them and managed to do so, however, to stoke the "old" firepit of coals, one should be careful. If memory serves me well, I thought the appropriately agreed upon, with multiple lawyers present, was "Ol' Farts, Extremely Follicly Challenged (EFC Club), or was it the NOMOHD - No More Hunting Divas Club!!!!!!

Could someone please help me out here, let me know if I got it right, otherwise, I will have to search back through this site.

On a note about the GEEZER Pack, I call it the Lunch Pail, if my Momma could stuff two big ole' sandwiches, a bag of chips, and a little debbie snack in one of those little itty bitty brown bags and still get it closed, I ought to be able to carry what I want in that thing.

i would looooove to go back to the Naked look, but my wife doesn't wanting me spending that GRAN on the backrest and luggage rack, so I think I'm stuck at the moment. I go Naked everychance I get though!!! MMJUUUUAAAHHHHH!!!

I think the whole naked bit is around $700. $100 for the panel, $399 for the back rest, and $200 for the luggage rack and $1.00 for a Dr Peper. Maauuauuuuajjjhuuuaaaaaa! Of couse you could forego the DP and save a buck. As far as the geezer term, I was only referring to me, me, me, and me, and no one else. The good thing is that I can still remain a pilot of my Geezer Glider, or my Super Stud Sonic Soarer! My choice!

Speaking of which, me and the honey baby biker chick went for a lunch run to Williamsburg today on the Geezer Glide and what a great ride it was. We saw a lot of <brand removed> as well as other bikers out today, all of which we got a friendly wave and one honk and wave from a batwing <brand removed> . The thought came across my mind that up to just about a year ago I would look at other bikes and wished I would graduate to a bigger and better bike. And here we rode today knowing that I had graduated and wonder if others that rode looked at us on the Vision and wished they too had a bigger and better bike. Anyway, that is my little world and you're welcome to visit as long as you play nice and wave.

Sounds like a great place, thanks for the tip. We go to the Peking Restaurant on the Bypass across from Hooters in the K-Mart Shopping center in Williamsburg. The very best Chinese Restaurant, bar none. He has the Mongolian grill, Chinese buffet, Japanese buffet, desert, menu and just a great atomosphere. Most waitress/waiters are foriegn students that attend William & Mary. It is well worth the hour drive to eat chinese buffet and not get heartburn.

Would that be a 4S Bentley?

I already have the panel, since I bought mine as a street. It's the other $602 for the rest of it that gets her. It doesn't matter that it's $398 less than a thousand. It might as well be a thousand, either way its a no go. The extra $2 is because I was extra thirsty.

To trunk or not to trunk that is the question.
W/O wins but not by much.

I got mine off for the winter as the other half don't ride in the winter as I do. But I do have the rear back rest and the six pack rack. With the winds this time of year I like the way it handles better. 4 months and 12,020 miles and not done yet.

Where ride ye BT666? I'm a rounder as well and put the Geezer Pack back on to haul the winter gear when I can't take it with me when I stop. Though I am prone to take it off again since it only takes 15 minutes without Diet Dew breaks.

It really don't matter where I go as long as I get out and go. Long as it is dry cold doesn't matter, as It is not like you are slowly shedding clothes during the ride and if you do a couple of bungeys
cords wok well with the six-pack rack. I also found that I don't need as many clothes as before. I think the major thing is I really like the handling of the bike with out the trunk. As for a trip I can carry more that way (IMHO) I know others here have said that there is not much difference with or without, not here to debate it just my opinion. Have a good one

BikerTrash666, I was looking to see where you are from, it wasn't in your profile and I was just curious.

Though I feel I'm on the borderline, of a lot of things, but for weather, there are few days it might shut me down. The Northern folk, I like to hear how they tough it out if they do. I read some of my best riding tips by a guy that posted information on the internet and he rides year round, snow and all and lives in Michigan I believe. We get flat out ice here in Virginia, especially on the bridges, and people are so stupid they'll pile up one right after another when there is ice on the bridges all because they can't drive and will not slow down. Believe it or not, I would still ride if it wasn't for the cagers out of control.

As far as difference between the street and geeze, yes there is! not unmanageable, but a different. This bike was built around the street aspect to the T and the pack is just luggage added on after the fact. I believe that was the hardest part of body design they had. I don't believe it could have been any different, but without the pack you can feel it really come alive!

I am a hour west of Chicago, little town of hampshire. I got to agree with you bout the ice on bridges here, you are not alone with stupid people we got them also just more of them. I have found in thirty to forty weather is the long unders, jeans and either carhat pants or chaps. Long sleeve, hoody and leather works good
