Posts: 4 Rochester, NY United States | (I also have this posted in the "Vision Discussion" Forum.) This is my first time looking for help on this site, I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I have 2013 Vision with reverse. The problem I'm having is the reverse works while on level ground but "clicks" out when encountering any resistance. I pulled the reverse motor off to check the keys as suggested in the service manual but they were fine. The manual doesn't give a whole lot of information on removing the gear drive side which must be where the problem lies. Does anybody have a similar experience or suggestions on what to look for? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Scott. |

Posts: 4 Rochester, NY United States | The motor seems to be fine. Something on the right side is slipping out of engagement on the right side. Unfortunately the manual doesn't go into much detail for this side of the unit. |

| it's been a few years since I installed mine, but I remember the drive gear resembling something out of a cracker jack box. I have a lip of about two inches to get up in my garage... my reverse will NOT pull the bike up that lip. I don't have any gear slippage (at least not that I can hear) it just hasn't got the balls to lift 900 pounds up a 2" lip.
I'm sure I still have the installation instructions so if you can't figure it out let me know and I'll dig them up to see how to get you where you want to go. |
