Posts: 87 Lusby,Md | I like the Thunder headers from Thunder Header. It was a little warmer today and I rode 50 miles , hiway and back roads , no problems.A little gurggling sound from role off and a little pop every once in awhile I lov them.Ness makes the Honkers.Thunder Header makes the Thunder header. |

Posts: 238 SF Bay Area | Here's the deal... Thunderheader is allegedly owned by the Hells Angels. Sonny Barger is the retired HA President. HIs Vision has Thunderheaders, sold as Thundersticks by Sonny's friend, a guy named Arlen Ness.

I like the way they sound, I'm just not so sure I like the way they stick out from the back end.

Posts: 3773 Pittsburgh, PA | they sound nice but they dont "flow" with the look of the bike. In my humble opinion i think they really stick out like a sore thumb... You can tell they dont belong , or maybe i should say didnt come standard on the bike. you look very aftermarket.. which may or mayNot be a bad thing depending on what your going for in terms of look....

You know I am new to this site, and have spent the better part of the afternoon reading up on the Visions. It seems to me that anytime someone brings up the Thundersticks you say the same thing do you have something against Arlen, Sonny or the HA's???

Absolutely not. I never implied anything negative about the club or Sonny. My point is that until Sonny bought a Vision, all of the previous Thunderheaders were only made for Harley type bikes, logical since the club had been preferring to ride HD.
I have friends that are retired HA members, and I have no ill feelings towards them... a fine bunch of true motorcyclists. So Jeff, do you have anything against the HA, Sonny or Arlen? Why would you think I might, just because I mentioned their names? |
