| Hey All, Just wondering if any fellow canucks took financing through Polaris? If so, what kind of Financing was available? Rates? I went on the site, but, it only seems to be for south of the border. Thanks | |

Posts: 1290 Ruskin, Fl | When I bought my Vision on May 30 of last year they had a 6.99% offer. Of course I didn't qualify even though my credit score is right around 700. Since I made the mistake of test riding the Vision first I took what was offered, 13.99% for 84 months. I financed 20K and if I make the payments till the end of the loan it comes to 10,700 bucks in interest. My plan was to refinance this year now that I got my medic cert and make a bit more money. That may not be an option now with the economy. I do have a back up plan; I only have a few more $455 payments on my car, than I can double up on the Vision payments.
Hit 12,000 miles this weekend.

Posts: 297 VA | I got the 6.99% at the end of June. I already pay an extra $100/month (when I can of course) but plan to throw some more toward it after I pay off my truck this time next year. It's amazing how much interest you can save that way. But, it's a big purchase. I'd recommend shopping around for better rates since the economy is so bad. However, bike loans are traditionally higher than new car loans because the amount is usually less than a car (unless it's the Vision) and more people default on bike loans than car loans. I know a lof of young marines that buy bikes here than can't afford them. But, still might be able to find a better rate. Also, if you have the equity, home loan rates are really low, and that might be better than they can offer you at the dealership. My financing was through GE Money Bank, just FYI.

| I just got a quote today of 8.75%. This means with the price of the bike at $25,309 plus $7K in extras, plus %13 tax, this bring the monthly to about $740 /month.......which is a little over the top. So without the extra (da nada, rien, nothing.....no bling) is about $600 /month. A little bit better, however, still high especially when I still have not accessorized yet. I will be looking around a bit more tomorrow.......I wish that I knew for sure that the reverse kit would not fit the 08 (without that costing an arm and a leg as well) I might look that way. For me this bike will probably be with me until the fenders fall off or at least until the loan would be paid so I want to be happy with it. Anyway, I'm still on the trail....... Thanks

| Just a couple of thoughts, since times are so tough, ask the dealer to make a deal when adding the reverse even to an '08 (if they can do it)?
Do you have anything like Credit Unions up there? I got 6.25% in Nov when I bought my Vision.
Good luck. | |
