Posts: 58 Saratoga NY area | I am trying to be a little more knowledgeable about the Vision 106. The Vision 106 is a reported 92 hp. The hammer 106 is a reported 97 hp. What is the difference between the 2 engines? Whatever the difference is, why can't that same part(s) be installed in the Vision? |

Posts: 204 guelph ontario | For 5 more HP I dont think it is worth going for the installation of the cam-when I put a cam in my 95kit for the HD Road King it went from 62hp to 89 hp-I added a power commander as well as pipes and a breather kit. If we could get even a 10-15 hp increase with just a cam it would be more worthwhile- dont want to get into major engine work with the Vision-want to keep it streetable and not tuned to the edge as with the HOG. |

Then again if you went to the 08 cam crrier, and Lloyds Vision Cam you would be around 112\112 which is a 22HP increase over a stage 1 Vision. As an added benafit you get BETTER drivability, and BETTER MPG
Oh yea lest I forget those numbers are at the tire. My expieriance has been
Stock 79\96
S1 85\100
S1+intake plate 90\104
These numbers are an average for Visions at the tire

Without a doubt, Lloyds is the way to go concerning the cam. On Victory's part, what was the logical reason or part to differentiate the 106 of the Vision and the 106 of the Hammer? It is bad enough that a comparable stock Harley does not make near the Vision's 92 hp, but think of the marketing potential if/when the current 106 on the Vision were as strong as the Hammers... |

This is my exact thought. I have no need to go fast. Just get there after many many miles! Reliability compared to power? I take reliability any time! |
