In case nobody noticed Matt Smith is the current leader flying the Victory colors aboard his racing Cross Country in the highly competitive NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle class. The possibiltj of Matt Smith winning the NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle championship for Victory aboard a Cross Country after the company was dissolved by Polaris. That would put a punctuation mark on the Victory story. What do ya'll think?

Sadly last month Matt Smith Racing the only Victory NHRA racer jumped ship and now competes flying Eric Buel Racing livery. It was a good run and ends with the Victory brand on top of the NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle points standing. Thank you Matt Smith and much success going forward.

wonder it can be a victory when the only thing is maybe a cut down CC faring. The motor is a s&s and looks nothing like a Vic motor. Of coarse the frame is not Victory

It's called racing according to the rules that the race body puts forth. Yes it's an S&S motor, but it's design is not the same that is used in the Buell bikes. Harley has the NHRA in lockstep with them so that any other motorcycle can not compete. The Suzuki engine that NHRA mandates is a two valve motor even though the stock production bike has a four valve motor. Again, then NHRA is in harley's back pocket, giving the edge to the Vance and Hines vrods, even though according to the Pro Stock rules mandate that all parts be made available to any racer that wants to race a vrod, but, alas, only Vance and Hines is the only team allowed to run the vrod.

Congratulations to Matt Smith Racing in becoming the NHRS Pro Stock champion for the 2018 season. Just think if Polaris/Victory had sponsored him the whole season instead of pulling it's support with him in the points lead at mid season Victory would have gone out as the Pro Stock champ. Sad, so sad.
