Posts: 172 Prescott, Az | I did a search and it seems many here describe the "dash" as the area that I have been calling the console. I guess I was incorrectly calling the curved area behind the windshield the "dash". Whatever the area behind the windshield is called, does anyone make a carpet type cover for it? Here in Az we get extreme heat in the summer because, I've been told, we are only six miles from the sun in June thru Sept. Therefore there is a booming industry in Arizona for automobile Dash Mats that keep your Lucky Strikes from igniting on their own if left on a plastic surface.
If no such thing is available from some aftermarket company, I may go to one of the factories and see if they will make one. I know many GW riders have these. They really do look nice and can be embroidered with catchy names like "Skull Magnet" or "Sushi Catcher".

Your welcome. | |

Posts: 172 Prescott, Az | BlueOx- Thanks but I've followed the threads on that. What I'm looking for is a thin carpet cover that lays atop the dash.
DoneTracey-Thanks for the idea. Did they legalize LSD up there?

First one should be in production as we speak. I hope to have a real one mounted soon so I can take pics. There's about 8 that says they want one. It is a dash organizer made of leather just for the vision. It will have a single piece top with 4, various size pockets to accomdate cellphones, wallets glasses, and change for the basic idea, what you use it for, .45, ammo, knives, smokes, speeding tickets, etc, is entirely up to you. PM me your email and I'll add you to the list. Oh, never mind then necktie. It seems that you could get a carpet material and have a border sewn around it and you'd have what you're looking for. I don't think you'll find one from a vendor just yet.

I do want to see yours first before I go out and make a dash mat. There is one for the GL1800 that is carpeted with two pockets. I'd have to fabricate one and with my mechanical skills it would end up looking like a tree house. I NEED pocket space and that's a perfect place to keep all of my junk. You are correct about the vendors. Everything out there is for GoldWings, but then, they have been around 28 years.
