I run my ZUMO through the factory cable that came with the bike....3.5mm out of the audio port on the ZUMO into the factory IN for the AUX (ipod) input...ZUMO MP3 works great with AUX selected as source. If you are using the AUX source with your ZUMO MP3 you get the steering commands from the GPS.

There was some discussion earlier about a cable configuration that came out of the ZUMO into the factory GPS cable but I wasn't able to make it work.

Hope that helps

sounds good. I have found a cable that is a female Ipod port, and the other end is a 3.5mm jack. I ham hoping that i can put this into the Zumo and use the MP3, XM, and steering commands from the zumo, while still being able to pull that off and dock my ipod when I want

jeffmack,

That sounds cool. Please let us know if it works. Can you post a place on the web were the cable can be bought.

Ride safe!

I got the cable, works like a charm!! awsome. I finally have my directions thru the speakers from the zumo, the XM radio comes thru the speakers in stereo, amd the 180 songs I have on a SD card are in stereo as well, I can also plug in my ipod 1000+ songs and just have the Zumo running without sound whenever i want a change. what a great deal for a 13.00 cord! I am gonna order 2 more since i am sure I will give them quite a workout

jeffmack....Thanks for the update. I am also running a Zumo550 and this will make it a lot easier to switch between the Zumo and the Ipod by eliminating the requirement to change the cord on the Vision. Looks like I have something else to add to my wish list.

No if I could just get some help from Mother Nature to get rid of all this snow.
