Posts: 9 Aberdeen, SD | I had XM installed on my street premium when I took delivery last week. The dealer located the XM antenna on the dash close to the windshield. I have noticed that reception is not very good. Have any of you experimented with different locations for this antenna? I don't have a trunk so that is out of the question. I have several XM receivers and I know that antenna location can be a challenge.
Thanks in advance for any info.

Check where the antenna cable threads onto the reciever in the right side bag. 5/16" (8mm). My dealer left mine loose. May have to take your seat off to get to it. |

Posts: 1484 LaPorte,Tx. | dwhite28 posted the XM install procedure a while back. Here it is if you want a look, located on MediaFire site. This should tell you how Victory says to mount the antenna and where.

Posts: 235 Evergreen, CO | If you are installing the Victory offered XM radio, dwhite28's write up looks to be very complete. I installed an aftermarket XM, and keep it in the "glove box" on the left side of the dash. Granted, I cannot change stations on the fly, but I typically listen to ONE XM radio station all the time, so the ability to change stations is not that important to me. Also, the same XM radio, with a second set of mounts, serves double duty for me. I have this second mount in my car, so on winter days where riding is out of the question, I move the XM to my car. As soon as the weather improves, back to the Vision it goes! Plus, it was WAY less expensive than the price of a Victory XM unit!

Posts: 377 O'Neill, Nebraska | I've added a Sirius Sportster to my handlebar using a RAM mount and will submit photos of it once I've finished the install. It looks very professional and does not interfere with the operation of the bike. In addition I can change the Sirius stations while underway.
Another cool looking gadget for an awesome bike! |

| Looking forward to seeing those photos. I have been contemplating adding XM to my bike. Would certainly like to go with an inexpensive alternative to the Vision model.

Here are the photos for the Sirius Sportser installed on the handlebar using a RAM mount system. The RAM mount is VERY sturdy and because the Sportser has a docking station, I can quickly remove the unit in the event that it begins to rain or if I'm parking the bike in a strange location.
Enjoy.
