Any recommendations for exhaust? Don't want it too loud, just real classy

Level 1 stage 1. More power, and just a little more noise. It now sounds like a V twin. Before it went put put put. Just had er out this weekend, and she sounds NICE, but not obnoxious.

Go to your dealer and get the stage 1 kit. Even the guys who ride loud harleys around us say that they like the sound. It seems as though it was barely noticable to me at first but seems to get a nice rumble after several miles.

Good word...classy....

I agree with the recommendations presented...because "classy" is a perfect fit. Mind if I use it?

My only suggestion would be to add the Gatlin Tips to the S1/L1. KevinX posted that this set up has the same output as the S1/L2 on the dyno.

I love the sound on my and have had MANY compliments on the looks of the tips. By the way....they are supposed to have exhaust soot on them so don't try to keep them polished and shiny.

Cheers!

Comparing a Vision to a Dodge Neon? Now that's funny!! LMAO
The vision is a 'classy' bike so I don't see where there is any other word to use.

here's a few paragraphs from Michael Dappers book "The Making of an New American Motorcycle" ISBN 0-7603-0530-7

This is from page 54, in the chapter "Molding the Muscle":

At Baxter's direction, the team bench marked engines made by Fuji and Cosworth, from BMW and Kawasaki Motorcycles, and the Dodge Neon for manufacturing and assembly insights.

Why benchmark a Neon?
"This was a new generation for Chrysler, and they had some really neat ways they drove the camshaft and the way they mounted it,", Burgess said. "They minimized the mass of the engine. It was good to look at the technologies they had. A lot of it wasn't compatible with a motorcycle engine, but it showed they did something different. They looked outside the box, and it was good to look at that."

Funny, no?

The Galtin tips do make the sound diferent with the level 1 stage 1. Better than the stock tip. My buddy refuses to follow to close, as he thinks I will be shooting at him if he gets in range.
